ISR (LARGE) AVIONICS TECHNICIAN

Job offer to be filled as soon as possible

Location: MOGADISHU, BN, Somalia
Schedule: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term contract 1 year renewable
Shift: Back to back (6 weeks / 6 weeks)
Travel: Yes, 50 % of the Time

JOB DESCRIPTION
ANTICIP is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team in Somalia. The Avionics Technician, as part of a team, is responsible for all maintenance on the ISR platforms deployed to a site. If the platform requires platform specific training, this will be provided prior to deployment into country through the OEM(s) for the air vehicle, sensors and communication equipment on the air vehicle and ground control station, as well as the ground control station itself. The Avionics Technician’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintenance planning
• Spare parts inventory and planning
• Diagnostics of all systems
• Preventative maintenance
• Troubleshooting on any of the systems
• Documentation of any equipment issues and faults
• Conduct field repairs possible on the equipment
• Swap out and test sensors
• Swap out and test LRUs
• Maintaining and updating technical manuals
• Coordinate/inform launch crews on any updates to equipment status.
• Monitor the number of hours flown, any safety problems, responses to special requests, supply status, etc.
• Liaise directly with the OEM on requirements for depot level maintenance requirements
• Report any maintenance issues to the site lead.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• Demonstrated prior maintenance experience operating one or more large platforms such as RQ-7 Shadow all variants; RQ-21 Blackjack or Integrator; MQ-27A; MQ-27B Scan Eagle, Hermes 900, Hermes 450, Harfang, or MQ9 Reaper.
• Requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as two or more years’ experience in aviation or electronics. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
• The ability to troubleshoot at the component level
• Demonstrated experience with electronic test equipment, hand and soldering tools, voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices
• The ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders
• Must be willing to deploy to austere location in Africa, with limited amenities, on a closed, secured, facility.

ISR LEAD PILOT (LARGE)

JOB DESCRIPTION
ANTICIP is seeking a highly qualified ISR Pilot to join our team in Somalia. The ISR Pilot is responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Safe aircraft operation including but not limited to maintaining diligent lookout and listening doctrine with available sensors, radios, and other ground control station equipment
• Following air traffic control clearances
• Maintaining safe and positive control of the air vehicle during all phases of flight
• Taking appropriate actions during emergencies; operating sensors onboard aircraft; assisting Mission Commander and Mission Coordinator with flight mission planning and briefings as directed; computing takeoff/landing data via standard operating procedures; as well as utilizing checklists and other standardized manuals
• Safely operating the sensor payload; analyzing and reporting sensor data pertinent to mission success and safety of flight
• Professional performance with minimal guidance and direction is expected. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment is essential
• Participate in all facets of the operation to support mission requirements.

Qualifications
• Education & Experience:
• Current FAA Private Pilot Certificate plus Instrument rating
• Previous qualifications as UAS AVO
• Demonstrated prior experience operating one or more UAS platforms such as MQ-1 Predator, MQ-1C Grey Eagle, or MQ-9 Reaper
• 100 hours as Pilot in Command (Unmanned)
• « Current FAA Private Pilot Certificate plus Instrument rating preferred, but equivalent certification will be considered. »
• Minimum of 1 year’s deployments in combat zones
• Previous qualification as UAS payload operator (PO)
• Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must be willing to deploy to austere location in Africa, with limited amenities, on a closed, secured, facility
